Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a growing public health concern and a threat to global health security. 700,000 people die each year from AMR infections, and it is estimated that by 2050, AMR infections could cause 10 million deaths per year¹.

Multi-drug resistant (MDR) bacteria are a particular threat as existing antibiotics are becoming ineffective.
