Children’s National SPARK Symposium and Ribbon-Cutting Launch

Children’s National Innovation Ventures is hosting the Symposium on Pediatric Medical Countermeasures (MCMs) and the SPARK for Innovations in Pediatrics Launch and Prize Competition—a premier event under the BARDA Accelerator Network 2.0. This exciting gathering will focus on advancing pediatric-focused MCMs, featuring insightful discussions and a live competition where finalists will pitch their groundbreaking solutions for a chance to secure non-dilutive funding from SPARK.

The event will also include a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially launch the SPARK Hub, followed by a cocktail reception to celebrate this milestone in pediatric innovation.

The University of Maryland Institute for Health Computing is a $70M initiative funded by Montgomery County, the University of Maryland MPowering the State Partnership (MPower), and the State of Maryland. UM-IHC aims to build a learning health system for the State of Maryland that leverages advanced computation and medical innovation to advance public health and improve quality of life for residents statewide.

At UM-IHC, scientists from across two University of Maryland campuses and a statewide health system collaborate with industry, commercialize health care technologies, and develop and test health care interventions to simultaneously improve health outcomes and contribute to Maryland’s economy. 2025 Maryland Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine Tech Showcase

The event, presented by the Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund (MSCRF) and the Maryland Department of Commerce’s Office of Life Science, will spotlight the latest advancements in stem cell research and regenerative medicine technology. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to elevator pitches from MSCRF's portfolio companies, each showcasing their unique value proposition. Additionally, the Showcase will include poster presentations highlighting promising technologies, fostering engagement and dialogue.

 

Join us for an informative keynote address, as well as panel discussions and a lively oxford-style debate on topics critical to our Maryland stem cell and regenerative medicine ecosystem. AI for Smart Manufacturing Productivity Forum
