4th Annual Baltimore Next Generation Investing Event

The Baltimore Next Generation Investing Event showcases premier investors who will present their top equity investment ideas of the moment on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at 4:00 PM. This unique event features speakers who rarely share their specific stock ideas in a public forum. These successful world-class investors have agreed to speak because the proceeds from the event are going to three Baltimore non-profit organizations that help improve educational choices for local children: Children's Scholarship Fund Baltimore, Southwest Baltimore Charter School and KIPP: Baltimore. 2nd Annual Biomedical Informatics Symposium

The 2nd annual Biomedical Informatics Symposium hosted by the Innovation Center for Biomedical Informatics at Georgetown will showcase several exciting advances in the fields of genomics/systems medicine and clinical research informatics, along with technologies related to Big Data analytics, research infrastructure, omics data integration, data visualization and many others. Prior to WellDoc, he was the leader of the global wireless solutions practice at PRTM Managment Consultants.

Joe Peterson, M.D., is currently CEO of Specialists On Call (SOC), the nation's premier provider of specialty physician consultations delivered via teleconferencing. Most recently a partner in United Westlabs, a hospital services company. Dr. Peterson has served on the Board of Directors of the Global Health Council, as a jurist for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation awards in public health, and on the Board of Directors of the Aids Action Coalition.

Custom iPS Cell Development following cGMP Guidelines

Seraxis Inc is developing an iPS-based cell therapy for diabetes. They operate a clean room in which they have created several therapeutic iPS cell lines from fresh donor tissue. At this presentation, the company founder will describe the company's strategy and progress towards achieving regulatory acceptance of an iPS-based cell therapy. The presentation will also introduce a custom iPS cell development service. Custom iPS cells can be derived from any human tissue and created following cGMP guidelines.
